La Famille Wilcox
Where does the family start? It starts with a young man falling in love with a girl - no superior alternative has yet been found.

Lazy, Sick Sunday

I have been super nauseous the last three days so I stayed home from church today. It has been a very long three days. Bella is getting two top teeth and has not been the happiest camper! It was pretty nice. Joe took Bella to church with him.

This has been how most of our weekend has gone!
Bella attempting to be independent; dumped the yogurt smoothie all over her head!

And then we have precious moments like this one. My dad stopped in to smoke out some moles with road flares. Bella is crazy about him. They went on a walk. She looked so cute in her new dress. It was a steal at Fred Meyer! Sunday dresses make me want to have all girls!

I started feeling a little less queasy this afternoon after a warm bath and a nap. It was so nice outside so we ventured to the park down the road. This is Bella's first time in a swing. Not so much!

She did however like going down the slide.
Not so sure about the bridge though!

We thought we'd give the swing one last try. Nope.

Well time to get bambina to bed. We've started having singing time (primary songs) and prayer before we out Bella to bed. She's so cute. She knows to fold her arms when you say "Let's pray" and claps when you say "Amen". Aww I just love her!

Afternoon Strolls

Bella is officially a "toddler". By that I mean a walking, toddling, falling down down toddler. She is so funny, she never does anything unless it's on her own time. We'd been stressing about her not walking and being almost 16mos. old. Everytime we'd try and "practice" she would cry. On Valentine's day we went to my sister's for pizza and low and behold she just got up and started walking. She hasn't stopped since!
She loves going on walks now! She's cracks us up because she will only go ONE way. As soon as we get to the end of the driveway she turns right. No matter how hard you try to get her to walk the other way she will pull your hand until you go RIGHT!

Best buds in the matching pj's
She's getting so big!!!

If you Give a 15 month old a Smoothie....

If yo give a 15 month old a smoothie....
She will want to drink it all by herself....
She will then decide it is much better as fingerpaint....
Once she tries it as fingerpaint...she will test it's ability as hair gel...
Once she has styled her hair to Billy Idol-like perfection...
She will be happy as a rockstar!

I'm allowed to be fickle!

Since I am female...I reserve the right to change my mind as many times as I want. So...after thinking about it and talking about it....We decided to start trying for baby number 2 as soon as Bella is home from the hospital after her surgery in June! I went and bought prenatal vitamins yesterday and started taking them.

We got a gym membership to LA fitness and I've been working my butt off. I want to be back to 120lbs and toned before I get pregnant. I know that probably sounds really stupid...get super skinny before I get super huge! It would make me feel a lot better!!! I have 8 lbs to go! I haven't had a doughnut in 3 months! For me that is an accomplishment!

We just found out that we can sell our house anytime and not have to pay back the $8,ooo tax credit. So we're working on a flipping our house. We're going to refinish the hardwoods and fix the section of fence that needs to be replaced and just do some minor cosmetic stuff. We'll see. I talked to our real estate agent and she said it's grim. We're going to try. We really need another bathroom and bigger bedrooms.

Nope

Nope...definitely not pregnant. At first I thought I would actually be really sad. I had gotten used to the prospect and quite excited. After all I convinced Joe that if it were to be a girl we'd name her Ava Genevieve. Alas, our little Ava  or Aidan (Aidan Pierce is our boy name) will have to wait a while.

That's okay because we got free tickets to go to Disneyland though Disney's give a day get a day program. It's really awesome! All we're doing is making 4 blankets or quilts for a charity in Portland and we get a free day at Disneyland! Since we're going to be in Cali for David's wedding, we figured we might as well go. The last time I went to Disneyland I was 3!!! Since there's a good chance we'll become east coasters in the next two years we might as well take advantage!

If I was pregnant I couldn't go on any rides! Just like when we went to Six Flags and I was 6 mos. pregnant, lame!

I also want to be able to enjoy Bella and give her all my time. She's going to really need me in the next few months with her surgeries and hospitalizations coming up.

I'm also going to go back to school this fall! Finally! I just need to decide which Master's program I want to aim for. Vocal Performance or Choral Conducting. We're going to start "trying" around the fall.  That will give me enough time to get the classes done that I need so I can do most of my Master's program online.  (Part of me secretly wants to be a french pastry diva!)

Or maybe we'll get so caught up in the romance of Paris and start "trying" while we're there the end of May. Who knows. When it's right it's right.

Anywho, I'm off to kick Joe's trash in some Super Mario Bros!!!!

To be or not to be...Pregnant that is!

So, I'm blogging about this because I'm a little freaked out! My period is 6 days late (I have a Mirena IUD) and I've been nauseaous for over a week. I've taken 4 pregnancy tests, 3 negatives and 1 really faint line. I called my OB she didn't seem too worried. I have an appt.on Feb 9th. I'm freaked out because everything I read about getting pregnant with an IUD was not good! Most of them resulted in miscarriage or having to induce befre term. Infections, IUD's implanting into the fetus' heart, brain or lungs.

I'm also freaked out because if I am pregnant, things didn't go according to my plans! Again! Those that know me well, know I like to plan these things!!! We were going to start trying for bambina/bambino #2 around Sep. or Oct. Maybe this is just a sign that we need to reconsider our plans If it turns out I'm just a paranoid basket case!  I'm going to wait until Monday and if I'm still late I'll pee on more sticks! We shall see!
